Malaysian food

All about malaysian food (also international food) from a malaysian point of view. A Petaling Jaya (PJ) boy myself, most of my favorites are in PJ area. You name it, from snacks to gourmet food to hawker to fine dining, I'll try to cover. Even drinks eg. beer, wine, liquor, soft drinks, etc.

2005 - Brisbane holiday F&B

My typical nutrition throughout the entire 1 week trip.... fast western food and beer..... lots of chips. No chilli sauce in this region though... mayonnaise and vinegar, that's all. Average price per dish is about AUD10 (yep, that's about RM30 a pop) and AUD5-6 per alcohol. Crown Lager is about the best tasting beer ever.

More western fast food ie. Baby back BBQ Pork ribs (AUD17.80) from Billy Baxters at Surfers Paradise esplanade and more experimental beer.

Howl at the moon restaurant and bar, Surfers Paradise Esplanade - More ribs but served in a bowl and meat on a skewer. The ribs here was better than the earlier ribs.... more tender and tasty. The bottle of wine was complimentary!.... using a voucher I ripped from a tour guide booklet (which turned out to be very useful throughout the trip). Dessert was superb, while enjoying the 2 piano players back to back entertainment.

The following are the superb RTD (ready to drink) cocktails and beers that I tried out every night...... yummy and fun. Favorite brand is Mudshake... with lots of flavors.

Coffee Club, Pacific Fair, Gold Coast - a tea break consisting of cheese cake and cappucino. Cake here is much different from the ones I tried from Singapore.... tastier.
